“bisexuals are invading lesbian spaces” bisexuals should be welcome in lesbian spaces. and vice versa. so please just jot that down.

mclennonyaoi

exclusive “x/y/z sexuality only” spaces are regressive and while they can be helpful to a certain level once you turn away from “lesbians welcome!” to “bisexuals excluded” you are actively part of the problem

mclennonyaoi

like i need people to understand being queer and being a lesbian is not about being a part of an exclusive lesbians only club that you only get access to if you disavow attraction to men enough. there is no big war against bisexuals you can win. there should be no fight here. we should not have concrete lines between our communities that only get crossed to begrudgingly accept that we both like women and then we go back to our separate clubhouses on different sides. this is not something that should be happening and i need everyone to understand that.

mclennonyaoi

if you are mad about bisexuals invading lesbian spaces. or interacting with “lesbian only” things. or anything along those lines. you have already lost.

mclennonyaoi

“we have completely different experiences” no we don’t . and even if we did, nothing would justify that way online, especially on tumblr and twitter, sexuality is being transformed into a bunch of little bubbles and ingroups that all hate eachother and are reluctant to view any overlap as opposed to a bunch of queer people who need to support and uplift eachother as much as we possibly fucking can. i don’t care if we have different experiences. i can learn from you. you can learn from me. this is good. be a part of my community.

mclennonyaoi

like i am a dyke. you are a dyke . let’s not fight please i am so tired from everything else

Sometimes I get too in my head with my writing. Especially about my smut. I reread every last word with the most critical of eyes and think, Ooh is that cringe? Will that be too graphic? Will this word or phrase take people out of the scene?

And then I read a book. A published, hardcover, NYT bestsellers list book and...

Did you get that?

Someone looked at this sentence (likely more than one someone, tbh) and was like, 'Yeah. We'll print that.'

So the moral of the story, my fellow heathen smut writers, is that we're fine.

As a matter of fact, we're actually fucking amazing.

Because I'm the kind of person who researches these things off Incognito, for reference, at the smallest length, a Louisville slugger has a circumference of about 7 inches at the thickest part of the barrel.

The average erect penis girth is about 4.5 inches.

I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.

I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."

Feel free to repost, no need for credit

want to be clear that if i ever talk about a headcanon and then later discuss a headcanon that is directly contradictory to the first one, that’s because headcanons exist in a quantum state where they are all simultaneously true and not true up until the point where i discuss it in detail, in which case that is the one that is true in that instance. schroedinger’s headcanons

normal vs disordered: fatigue edition

normal: feeling tired at the end of a long day

not normal: feeling tired regardless of what you’ve done that day

normal: waking up tired every now and then due to stress or lack of sleep

not normal: waking up tired most mornings

normal: getting a little tired after standing for long periods of time

not normal: not being able to stand for very long without tiring out. being stood up drains your energy

normal: being tired more often during times of peak stress and lack of sleep, but otherwise fine

not normal: being tired/exhausted consistently for over 6 months

normal: melting into the sofa after a long day, and then struggling a little to get up

not normal: being too exhausted to move, to eat, to talk, or to do anything a person might be expected to do in an evening

normal: not liking to get out of bed in the morning

not normal: having mornings where you physically cannot get out of bed, or struggle greatly to get out of bed

the key thing is that it is not normal for you to spend most of your time being too tired to do daily tasks, and it is not normal to exist in a constant state of exhaustion. if possible, you should seek help if you’ve been experiencing fatigue for a while

thatdiabolicalfeminist

If you struggle with chronic fatigue and consistently get cold/flu symptoms within 24-48hrs after overexerting, look up the international consensus criteria for myalgic encephalomyelitis (used to be called chronic fatigue syndrome).

hey there LGBTQ kids who are also Christian/Jewish! If you feel like you’re disobeying God, questioning your faith, or feel wrong and dirty for loving who you love, there’s this fantastic site I found today called hoperemains that accurately and thoroughly combs through scripture and its (many) mistranslations, validates your orientation, and basically let’s you know that you’re not pissing off God. It’s insanely thorough and after reading through every page on the entire site it’s super helpful. Go check it out!

agnellina

No no no! Jewish LGBTQ kinderlach! Go to Keshet

hoperemains is completely from a Christian perspective, and not pluralistic or interfaith at all.

katodown

If you reblogged the first post from me please reblog this amendment so the Jewish peeps can access this resource too!

peppermintfeminist

Trans Jewish kids, you can go to TransTorah as well!

fuckyeahsexpositivity

Muslim LGBTQ kids, you can go to iamnotharaam! It’s run by a mod squad of different genders and orientations, and they take submissions from everybody!

Friendly reminder that the reason you feel so much better is because of your meds, don’t stop taking them unless you talk to your doctor first, you really do need them, I promise.

legsdemandias

Around June I stopped taking my eye medication because I hadn’t had a problem with my eyes in months. I got really lazy about doing it; then I stopped them altogether.

Turns out, the reason I stopped having problems with my eyes was because I was religiously taking my medication. Whodathunk. Now I have to work to get back to the place I was before I decided I was “better” (I wasn’t!).

If you thought this post was just about anti-depressants or lithium, it could be! For me, this post is about eyedrops, for you it might be about antibiotics, or it might be about zoloft. Whatever it is, please consider talking to your doctor before making a sudden shift to stop taking it. It’s not bad to be on medication. It’s not bad to need it.

doomhamster

…and on a related note, do not let anyone tell you that because you start feeling worse if you don’t take your medication, that means you’re “addicted”. That is not how addiction works.

legsdemandias

Okay everyone reblog this version

Shout out to all your internet friends who are gone.

Those messenger screen names that haven’t logged on in ages, some before detailed profiles were a thing on those services.

Those emails that are long since abandoned, some with domains that no longer exist.

Those online friends you knew years ago and who then helped shaped you in some way, who you just can’t FIND anymore.

Those people who once were, and hopefully still exist IRL, that seem to have no known internet life anymore.

And those who have actually passed on, and their online lives are now a memorial to them.

I miss you all. I hope life is/was kind to you, and maybe one day, we’ll somehow connect again.
